Dearests,
As I was reading this devotion, it reminded me of some questions that I used to ask myself when I was a kid. Am I really a human being or just alien? Why am I here? How come I can breathe? Gradually as I grow, I begin to observe people. And I have always thought that I would be pretty big in size - tall and huge. But of course, I am definitely not tall and not huge.
The 2 questions which was mentioned in the devotion..was somewhat somewhere in my mind at different stages. But as soon as I know Jesus, I found answers to all my questions. :)
I am who God wants me to be and I am going to be in Heavenly Home with Him one sweet day! >.<
Interestingly, I have found some really important answers to my recent scratch-head, heart aching questions. Though I've read these verses past few years, God is good. He reveals answers at the appropriate time!! PRAISE HIM!! (They are ** as below.)
Children of God
"And now, dear children,
continue in him, so that when he appears
we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
**The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that
when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.
**The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." - 1 John 2:28 - 3:10 -

Where am I going?
A park-keeper, closely observing the shabbily dressed philosopher as he walked slowly with head bowed, suspected that Schopenhauer was a tramp. So he walked up to the philosopher and demanded, “Who are you? Where are you going?” With a pained expression, Schopenhauer replied, “I don’t know. I wish somebody could tell me.”
Are you ever perplexed by those same questions?
Who am I? Where am I going? What a comfort it is to have God’s authoritative answers in the Bible. Who are we? In 1 John 3, John calls his readers “children of God” (v.2). We become His children by receiving Jesus as our Savior from sin (John 1:12). And where are we going? John 14:1-6 tells us that one day
He will receive us into a home He is preparing in heaven.Our Maker is not only the Author of science and history, but He writes the story of every member of Adam’s family—yours and mine. We can trust His answers. — Vernon C. Grounds
