Dear diary,
I was listening to Hillsong United's newest album "United We Stand", realise this song "From the Inside Out" style is so similar to the ones in their previous album "Look To You". I've seriously fallen in love with this song. Love the guitar part. Swee...
The lyrics also reminds me that as Christians, we need to always ask ourselves if we have surrender ourselves to God and carry Jesus' cross. Many a times, we want to do things, make our own decisions. Of course, we fall because we make them based on our own strength. I've heard people saying that because they did not seek for God's advice, all ended up in piles of regrets and problems. Oh well, I'm not excluded.
"From the Inside Out", it reminds me that we need to allow God to change us from the inside out. No point of saying,"Oh God, how much I love you!", raise hands and sing in worship when we refuse to deal what God wants to deal with us. Eg. our sins, areas of strongholds etc., when we refuse to forgive our brothers or sisters sitting a few rows front or back, bearing grudges, remembering their wrongdoings towards us. I was reminded of 2 chapters that I've read in Matthew not long ago.

Judging Others

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
I do have my fair share of unforgiveness. Apparently, I've been fighting to forgive someone for the whole of last year. Some of my church friends and leaders that shepard me will know this. I got so sick and tired till one day I finally commit it to the Lord. It was real struggles for me. I realised it's my choice. I can either choose to keep on having this unforgiveness, continue to rot spiritually or I can choose to come out of it, start shining for Jesus. It was a critical decision for it determines my growth as "little anoited ones".
Well, all I can conclude is that when we refuse to release forgiveness, at the end of the day, the anger, the negative feelings is just going to eat us up. We are basically making our own lives difficult, making our heart work harder like never before, making ourselves even harder to breath. When we are like these for long, we gradually become stagnant spiritually. We stop growing in the Lord. We give Satan a loop hole for him to grab onto us. And then, trust me, all the bad imaginations will haunt us down. They will only choke us, not the person that we are angry with. So much for bearing unforgiveness.
Questions we need to ask ourselves. Are we willingly to forgive the one who hurt us? Are we willingly to forgive even ourselves? Are we willing to let God to deal with us from the inside out?
